About Us

Hungry for Hangari is more than just a culinary club—it's a cultural initiative that uses traditional Korean foods, such as kimchi, as a gateway to share and celebrate Korea’s rich history and heritage. At the same time, it embraces global exploration by inviting members to discover and engage with other countries’ histories and cultures through their cuisine.

Food is a universal language—one that everyone can access and enjoy. By bringing people together through shared meals and culinary experiences, Hungry for Hangari creates a welcoming space for cross-cultural dialogue. Members not only learn to cook traditional dishes from around the world but are also encouraged to upload and share their own fusion creations, blending flavors, techniques, and stories from different cultures.

Yet, Hungry for Hangari goes beyond the plate. By preparing and distributing meals to those in need, the initiative fosters community, empathy, and human connection. It is rooted in the belief that food can do more than nourish the body—it can build bridges, spark friendships, and create a sense of belonging. At its heart, Hungry for Hangari is a celebration of diversity, togetherness, and the transformative power of sharing a meal.
